The road is long and it will change you. These are the biblical 7 stages of becoming a full-time professional trader, with honest time frames, although highly dependent on your dedication, discipline and yes, even talent.

Learn
Before any money is at risk, you learn how markets move, how orders are filled and what a single trade can cost you. The key lesson is the line between trading and gambling: a defined edge, fixed risk per trade and a reason for every entry and exit. If your current strategy is “it feels like it’s going up”, you are in the right place.

Trading vs. gambling →
Besides trading, I co-founded Pressburg Mint. It started in a garage and grew into a global business with $130M in sales in 2025: a factory that literally makes money. It also taught me to trade physical precious metals, where a bad position weighs hundreds of kilos, both literally and figuratively. I write columns for leading Slovak business and economic magazines and co-founded Kilonova Business Agency, which does PR and branding with mainstream (not state-controlled) media.

Trading is the most difficult thing I have ever done. It changed me completely, like a DMT trip.
Social media sells the gambling version of trading: rented supercars, 10k made in a minute and a guy who quit his job in three months. He now sells a course. The supercar went back on Monday.
It took me 10+ years, a lot of money and countless sleepless nights to go from gambler to professional. Today I trade several funded accounts under strict rules, and every trade lands in the public Comrade Trading Dashboard. Especially the ugly ones. You’ll see them right away. You don’t have to be a trading prodigy to make this your career.
