The Official Record

Every trade on the record.
Including the losing ones.

A journal that only shows winners is marketing.

Alan logs every trade on his funded accounts: instrument, entry and exit, risk, setup, the reasoning before and the review after. Members see the full journal. Here you can explore a public, read-only demo and learn what the numbers actually mean.

The full journal demo, free and read-only

The demo is the real dashboard members use, running on a frozen data set: nothing updates and nothing can be edited. Look at any trade, at the results by setup or session, and at the losing streaks as closely as the winning ones.

Amounts are shown in Party Rubles (₽), which track the US dollar roughly 1:1. The joke stops at the currency name: the trades, the risk and the statistics are presented as they were logged.

  • Trade log: instrument, entry and exit, risk, setup, reasoning before, review after
  • Analytics by setup, session and weekday
  • Discipline score for every trade: risk limit, plan, setup quality
  • Exit analysis: where price went 1, 3 and 7 days after each exit
  • Risk-limit tracking, every losing trade included

How to read the metrics

A trade journal is only useful if you know what its numbers say, and what they don’t. These are the six figures to look at first, in the demo and later in your own journal.

01

Win rate

The share of trades that closed in profit. On its own it says almost nothing: a 35 % win rate can be very profitable if winners are much larger than losers, and an 80 % win rate can lose money if one loss wipes out ten wins. Always read it next to average R.

02

Average R

R is the amount you planned to risk on a trade, the distance to your stop loss times your position size. A trade that made twice its risk is +2R; a full stop-out is −1R. Average R tells you how big your typical win and loss are compared with what you risked, independent of account size.

03

Expectancy

What an average trade is worth over many trades: win rate times average win, minus loss rate times average loss, usually in R. A positive expectancy means the process makes money over a large sample. It says nothing about the next trade, which is why the sample size matters.

04

Drawdown

The fall from a peak in the account to a later low, before a new high. For a prop trader this is the number that ends careers: firms close accounts at a daily loss limit and a maximum drawdown, so how deep and how long your drawdowns are matters as much as your profit.

05

Discipline score

Profit can come from a bad decision, and a loss from a good one. The discipline score rates each trade on the process instead: was the risk limit respected, was the trade in the plan, and did the setup meet the standard. Over time it shows whether results come from skill or from luck.

06

Exit analysis

Where price went 1, 3 and 7 days after the exit. If price regularly keeps running after you close, you may be cutting winners short. If it regularly reverses, your exits are doing their job. It is the most honest feedback on exits a trader can get.

What each tier sees

The delay is deliberate. The journal is a teaching tool, not a signal service: you study the decisions after the fact, with the reasoning and the review attached, rather than copying entries in real time. Only The Commissariat sees trades live, together with the walkthroughs that explain them.
